The Friends of Lake Wingra (FoLW) have scheduled a clean-up of a few Lake Wingra springs for Saturday June 13, 2015 from 9am to 11 am.   The spring, that FoLW is calling “Wingra Springs”, is likely the spring also known as Cadwallader C. Washburn Spring and is along the north shore of Lake Wingra near the Edgewood Campus.  The Washburn Spring has also been known as the Edgewood Big Spring or Deep Hole (Noland, 1951).

For more information about the springs clean-up event and contact information, see the Wingra Springs Cleanup website.
