Reminder: Lake Wingra Watershed Management Planning Info Meeting Thursday March 26

A planning effort to develop a watershed wide management plan for the Lake Wingra Watershed has been a long-sought goal of the Friends of Lake Wingra (FoLW).  The Friends of Lake Wingra in partnership and cooperation with the City of Madison Engineering Division have been working towards this goal for a couple of years.

Now the planning effort is at a stage where the partners are ready to show their proposed initiatives to the public and to get citizen feedback.  A public information meeting and workshop will be held Thursday March 26, 2015 to describe the latest developments in the watershed management planing process.

Goals of the planning effort seek, among other things,  to improve water quality, restore and enhance aquatic life, increase opportunities for rainwater infiltration, and to increase groundwater and spring flow.

The meeting will be held Thursday March 26, 2015 from 6:30 pm to 8 pm on the Edgewood College Campus on Monroe Street in Predolin Humanities Center, Room 115 A & B.
