Prairie Restoration by the McHenry County (Illinois) Conservation District

Here is a little visual prairie tonic for those of us in the snow-covered part of the United States who are missing our beloved prairie grasses and forbs and can’t wait to get back to fieldwork.  I guess we will just have to content ourselves during this winter down time with making prescribed burn plans for next spring’s burn season–it will be here before we know it!
