A snow-covered oak savanna at dawn on the north shore of Lake Wingra.

The snow-covered Wingra Oak Savanna at dawn last February.   The ground underneath the oaks on the north shore of Lake Wingra is a dull, late-fall brown now, but the weather forecasters tell us that by Monday morning the landscape could be white again.
