According to Sue Ellingson (Alder, Madison District 13) the Southwest Path lighting proposal will begin the City of Madison legislative process when it is referred for introduction at the 10/30 Council meeting. No action will be taken nor will there be a public hearing on 10/30. Instead, according to Ellingson’s District 13 Updates, the bike path lighting proposal will take the form of a resolution under Council new business and will be referred to the Board of Public Works and the Ped/Bike/Motor Vehicle Commission will hold a joint hearing on 11/28.
